Abstract The BLUEMED Project is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) within Horizon 2020 for the exploitation of the BLUEMED Research and Innovation Initiative for blue jobs and growth in the Mediterranean area and the implementation of the BLUEMED Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). As a tool for reaching these objectives, 4 thematic interconnecting Platforms at Mediterranean and National level have been created (Knowledge, Technology, Economy and Policy). They aim to support integrated science, technology, economy and political efforts, upgrading the services of the marine environment, its resources and the cultural heritage in a sustainable way. Platforms are conceived as operative environments where national representatives interact to convey the messages related to the actions identified in the BLUEMED SRIA and act as observatories for monitoring the system. IRCRES is the coordinator of the national Economy Platform. |
