Abstract The project focuses on a policy for the development of three economic sectors in the municipality of San Marcello Piteglio: forestry, tourism, and mechanics. The project is linked with other initiatives, such as the Mo.To.Re. project, the UNIFI-CNR laboratory, the experiences of social innovation ("Social Valley", GEA, etc.), the Campus project, and the Pistoia 2030 Strategic Plan. The methodology uses desk information and data collected by interviews, surveys, web conferences and focus groups conducted with companies, institutions and experts. The study is organized as follows: qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the territory; focus group on the three sectors; SWOT analysis of the territory and of the three sectors; public policies to activate the opportunities proposed by focus groups; discussion of the results with local stakeholders. |
