SHORT BIO

Lucio Morettini is researcher at the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth - National Research Council of Italy (IRCrES - CNR), Rome Unit. He taken his Phd in Economics at "Sapienza" University of Rome with a research thesis on Economics od Education.

His research focuses on higher education policy, research evaluation and impact assessment, effects of university design on job market, high skilled workers' career dynamics and analysis of new emerging actors on higher education scenario. He published and served as referee in several international journals and has participated in several European and Italian national projects.

FRANCESCA SILVIA ROTA

Francesca Silvia Rota, geographer, is currently a researcher at the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth (IRCRES) of the National Research Council of Italy. She holds a Degree in Architecture and a PhD in Territorial Planning and Local Development (with a thesis on the Regional Innovation Systems) from the Polytechnic and University of Torino. She participated in several projects at the national and European scale, mainly dealing with local development and regional policies. Her research interests are diverse and include local development, competitiveness, sustainability and resilience. Recently, she has focused on the study of territorial development in peri-rural and mountainous areas

TEACHING

From 2007 to 2013 she was a lecturer at the University of Torino, teaching courses on “Economic Geography”, “Firms Networks” and “District Economies”

University education, conducted in the field of the cultural anthropological disciplines, with particular reference to the theoretical and general methodological problems, concerning the symbolic systems of various cultures of ethnological interest and related to the forms of traditional European thought.
The scientific sectors in which he has been most involved are:
1.    the protection and enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage (historical urban spaces, UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, museum systems, traditional festivals etc.);
2.    the dissemination of the scientific research results, through the use of innovative methodologies.

EMANUELA REALE

Emanuela Reale is director of the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth - IRCRES CNR. Her research area is the study of the public sector research institutions and policies, with particular reference to university policy, governance, funding mechanisms, research evaluation, science and technology indicators. She worked in numerous national and international projects as a principal investigator or as a coordinator. Since 2019 she is member of the Consortium Management Committee of the European RISIS infrastructure for Research on Science, Technology and Innovation and from 2022 she is coordinator of the FOSSR PNRR-IR Project. Emanuela is President of the European Forum for Studies on Research and Innovation Policies-EU-SPRI and co-Editor of Research Evaluation. She published and is a referee in numerous international journals and books.
