University education, conducted in the field of the cultural anthropological disciplines, with particular reference to the theoretical and general methodological problems, concerning the symbolic systems of various cultures of ethnological interest and related to the forms of traditional European thought.
The scientific sectors in which he has been most involved are:
1.    the protection and enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage (historical urban spaces, UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, museum systems, traditional festivals etc.);
2.    the dissemination of the scientific research results, through the use of innovative methodologies.

EMANUELA REALE

Emanuela Reale is director of the Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth - IRCRES CNR. Her research area is the study of the public sector research institutions and policies, with particular reference to university policy, governance, funding mechanisms, methods and tools for university and research assessment, science and technology indicators. She has worked in numerous national and international projects as a principal investigator or as a coordinator. Since 2019 she is member of the Consortium Management Committee of the European RISIS infrastructure for Research on Science, Technology and Innovation. Emanuela is a member of the Board of the European Forum for studies on research and innovation policies-EU-SPRI, member of the Board of the Consortium on Higher Education Research and of the Board of ENID-European Network of Indicator Designers. She published and is a referee in numerous international journals and books.

LISA SELLA

Since 2010 researcher at CNR-IRCrES, Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth of the Italian National Research Council. She is an applied economist with special interest in quantitative methods. She is professor of Business Analytics at the University of Turin, where she held her PhD in Economics in 2008. Currently, her research interests mainly concern methods, data and techniques for public policy and program evaluation. Since 2010 she has been working on research projects on training and job placement policies and she is currently involved in a comprehensive counterfactual evaluation project of occupational safe and health policies, as well as policies fostering active ageing. Other research interests include quantitative methods for growth and economic analysis, agent-based modeling, and complex economic systems.

GIOVANNI CERULLI

Giovanni Cerulli is senior researcher (dirigente di ricerca) at CNR-IRCrES. He owns a degree in Statistics and Economics and a PhD in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome. His main areas of research are causal inference, program evaluation, and machine learning where he has developed new econometric models and several Stata routines. His major field of application is the economics of innovation although he has contributions also in other socio-economic areas. He is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Computational Economics and Econometrics, and coordinator of GRAPE (Research Group on the Analysis of Economic Policies). Giovanni is the author of the book: “Econometric Evaluation of Socio-Economic Programs: Theory and Applications” (Springer, 2015). He has published his research in numerous high-quality national and international scientific journals.  

 TEACHING

Giovanni Cerulli has taught several courses on causal inference, program evaluation, and Machine Learning in prestigiuos institutions and is involved in the microeconometrics module of the Doctoral Program in Economics of Sapienza University
