Ugo Finardi earned a M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Materials Sciences and Technologies, discussing a thesis on the practices of Technology Transfer. He is at present a research at the CNR-IRCrES. As an expert of the evaluation of the socio-economic effects of new technologies and of industrial innovation his main research interests are in the study of Technology Transfer, of commercialization of academic knowledge and of science-technology-innovation links; of the organization and management of Universities and of Public Research Organizations; and of bibliometric and scientometric assessment of science and patenting. He is the author of more than 80 journal articles in international and national scientific journals, book chapters, books, congress contributions, working papers and research reports. |

Valentina Lamonica (08/06/1987) bachelor's degree in literature, master's degree in Sociology at the University of Turin, in 2018 she obtained a PhD in Social Sciences, curriculum in Evaluation of Processes and System of Education at the University of Genoa. Since 2013 she collaborates with the IRCrES Institute (formerly CERIS) in three main research areas: labour market and employment transitions, social disadvantage and educational inclusion, migration. |

Andrea Orazio Spinello is researcher at CNR-IRCrES. After the master’s degree in Sociology and a 2nd-level Professional Master's Programme in 'Evaluation of Local Development Interventions' at University of Catania, he obtained a Ph.D. in 'Communication, Research, Innovation', curriculum 'Methodology of Social Sciences' at Sapienza University of Rome. His research interests address 'Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) studies' and focus on public research funding policies and systems; evaluation of public research; strategies of the actors involved in the implementation of transnational research programmes; development of indicators in the STI field; use of research infrastructures in the scientific work. He has participated in several research projects at European (FP7, H2020, EC tenders) and Italian (PRIN) level. |

Greta Falavigna (female, 1979), master's degree in economics, Ph.D. in Economics and Technology Management, bachelor's degree in literature. Her main research areas include econometric models and complex systems (i.e., artificial neural networks, genetic algorithm, decision trees, fuzzy systems, hybrid complex models, and so on) applied to different fields: finance; evaluation of firms’ performance from economic and financial point of view; evaluation of public research; healthcare evaluation; judicial system. She has previously published her works in various scholarly outlets such as Expert Systems with Applications, European Journal of Operational Research, International Review of Economics, Health Care Management Science, Health policy, Agricultural systems, Annals of Emergency Department, Research Evaluation, Socio-economic planning science, Scientometrics as well as Journal of Small Business Management. |
