Antonio Zinilli is researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth, Unit of Rome. He has graduated and taken his Phd in Applied Social Sciences at "Sapienza" University of Rome. He is coordinator of IRCrES School (Rome unit) in “Data Science: tools and methods for analysing complex Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) systems”. His research, based on an interdisciplinary approach, focuses on R&D funding, dynamic networks, dynamic processes on complex networks. He has a particular interest in the analysis and the modeling of knowledge spreading processes as well as the dynamics about R&D funding. He published and served as referee in several international journals and has participated in several European and Italian national projects. |

Giampaolo Vitali is a senior researcher at CNR and secretary of GEI (Italian Association of Business Economists); he was an industrial economist at FCA Turin and an adjunct professor of European Economics at the University of Turin. His research topics concern local development, industrial economics, public policies. He has published about one hundred of scientific and professional papers in the fields of EU and Italian industry, industrial districts, local development. |

Elena Ragazzi has been working at CNR-IRCrES (former CNR-Ceris) as a researcher since 1989. She is the author of more than 250 works of applied economics and policy evaluation. She was project leader of several projects, both European and national, coordinating the action of numerous partners, integrating multidisciplinary working groups and mixed groups of researchers and professionals. She organized and chaired special sessions on impact assessment and counterfactual methods at the annual conferences of the European, Italian and French regional science associations. Her research activity in recent years has focused on the theme of policy evaluation - in particular on training and work, but also on regulation, culture, local development and innovation - coordinating the Ircres working group in large-scale work that have combined sophisticated and rigorous quantitative methods to qualitative insights, fully integrating the two types of contributions. |

Elena Ragazzi teaches as an external professor at the Polytechnic University of Turin. She has been teaching since 1993 as assistant. Since 1999 she teaches managerial economics in different engineering courses:

Mario Coccia, Research Director. I am a social scientist at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). My passion is to study the primary sources of socioeconomic phenomena with novel hypothesis-driven researches that contribute new knowledge to help address and solve problems related to environment and human society at a regional or global scale. In particular, my goal is to make cross-disciplinary studies that illuminate and advance fundamental understanding within following research fields:
