IRCRES Research team for COVID-19

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral infection that generates a severe acute respiratory syndrome with serious clinical symptoms and as result high numbers of COVID-19 related infected individuals and deaths worldwide. 

CNR-IRCrES has scholars actively involved in the advancement of knowledge to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic crisis at national and international level.

Scientific research at the frontier of this research field of COVID-19 pandemic, within CNR-IRCrES, focuses on:

  • Analysis and design of effective policy responses to cope with the spread of COVID-19 pandemic
  • Factors determining the Transmission dynamics of the COVID-19 in society
  • Forecasting models of pandemic waves
  • Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on Environment, economic systems and public health
  • Effect of containment policy on labour organization within public research labs, such as smart working
