Study of Economics and Law at the University of Turin. Graduated in 1977.

Position

Since 1984 researcher at Ceris (Institute of Research on Firms and Growth) within the Italian National Research Council (CNR).

1998-2014 Director of Ceris

Since 2014 Director of IRCrES (Research Institute on the Sustainable Economic Growth).

- Contract professor of Managerial Economics at Polytechnics of Turin (1991-2005)

- Now member of the faculty of the PhD program “Technology Economics and Management”, University of Pavia.

- 2005-2011 member of the Academic Senate of Polytechnics of Turin

Research interests

Innovation, sustainability and competitiveness in traditional activities, new technology based firms, public research-firms relationship, local innovation networks, national and regional innovation policies, art and culture in local development.
