Ugo Finardi obtained a M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Materials Sciences and Technologies at the University of Torino, discussing a Ph.D. thesis on the practices of Technology Transfer. He is at present Senior researcher at CNR-IRCrES. His main research interest lies in the study of the socio-economic effects of new technologies and of innovation. His main research topics go from Technology and Knowledge Transfer, assessment of Science-technology-innovation connections, and organization and management of research activities, to Bibliometrics and the economy of cybersecurity. The list of his scientific products contains more than 100 titles among journal articles in international and national scientific journals, book chapters, books, congress contributions, working papers and research reports.
