The evaluation of the implementation model and the governance of ISI incentives

Abstract

This article presents the analysis of Inail’s evaluation procedures of admission, selection and managing of ISI incentives for reducing professional risks (e.g. accidents and occupational diseases in working places). To perform this evaluation, a detailed analysis of all the phases of the implementation procedure and of the governance model adopted by Inail was necessary. The analysis shows a very performing governance of ISI calls. The main characteristic of this model is the capacity of evolving on the “learning by experience” paradigm. Indeed, we report a clear general efficiency improvement since the first call (2010) to the last 2017 call considered in this study.
