Abstract

This volume, Towards Active, Healthy, and Sustainable Ageing: Theoretical Reflections and Empirical Evidence on Work-Life Balance, aims to present a review of the main findings from several research activities conducted during the first year of the EU PNRR PE Age-It: Ageing Well in an Ageing Society project. The overarching theme of the volume focuses on active and healthy ageing among mature workers and, more broadly, the elderly. This topic is explored through a multi- and inter-disciplinary perspective, employing both theoretical-conceptual frameworks and empirical approaches, including qualitative and quantitative analyses.

Keywords: active and healthy ageing, Work-Life Balance, job insecurity, retirement choices, pro-sustainability orientation, non-sufficient elderly care, EWCS, dyadic interviews.
