Antonio Zinilli is a Senior Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), Research Institute on Sustainable Economic Growth (IRCrES). He holds both a Master’s degree and a PhD in Applied Social Sciences from Sapienza University of Rome.
He coordinates the IRCrES School (Rome Unit) on “Data Science: Tools and Methods for Analysing Complex Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Systems”. His research adopts an interdisciplinary perspective, focusing on the analysis and modeling of knowledge diffusion, innovation dynamics, and research and innovation (R&I) funding systems.
Dr. Zinilli serves on the Scientific Board of the PhD Program in Social Psychology at Sapienza University of Rome, where he teaches Network Science. He has authored numerous scientific publications, regularly acts as a peer reviewer for international journals, and has been involved in several European and Italian research projects.
He is the author of the book Elements of Network Science: Theory, Methods and Applications in Stata, R and Python, published by Springer Nature in 2025.
