Abstract

This contribution to the current discussion on epidemics is the transcription of an interview made by Michele Brondino to Salvatore Speziale on contagion. It briefly develops the topics of contagion starting from its scientific and metaphorical aspects. Each answer hints at some relationships between the epidemics of the past and of the present considering disease effects and human reactions in medical, sanitary, demographic and economic fields in western and eastern societies.
