Abstract
ETC/CE is a consortium of European organisations working in partnership with the European Environment Agency under a framework partnership agreement for the period 2022-2026.
The ETC/CE informs decision-makers and the public by presenting reliable and comparable data and information on circular economy and industrial transformation; the implementation of EU waste legislation; material flows and sustainable resource use in Europe.
IRCrES has been involved, up to now, in research activities concerning the analysis of the EU environmental policy and legislation, with reference, in particular, to the following topics: EU policies on climate change, biodiversity and circular economy (‘Nexus approach’); Member States CE policies and measures; the development of secondary raw materials markets; legislation addressing the transboundary shipment of plastic waste; the European Green Deal and the related strategic framework to achieve climate neutrality; financing Europe’s sustainability transition; material reduction goals; societal aspects of a just transition to a circular economy; mapping the interactions between EU environmental and non-environmental (competitiveness, defense, digitalization and external relations) policies.
