STI Conference 2024

Researchers from CNR-IRCrES participated in the 28th International Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation Indicators (STI 2024) in Berlin, an event dedicated to exploring the complex dynamics between openness and closedness in science, technology, and innovation, and their influence on research, policy, and practice.

Organized by Fraunhofer ISI, Humboldt University Berlin, and the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) in collaboration with the European Network of Indicator Developers (ENID), the conference brought together leading experts and researchers.

On September 18, Lorenzo Giammei presented the paper “Unveiling direct and indirect effects of network collaboration on university research excellence using Bayesian networks”, co-authored with Antonio Zinilli and Emanuela Varinetti.

On September 19, Antonio Zinilli presented the paper “Research funding disparities among early career and senior researchers: which network configurations and funding returns?”, co-authored with Andrea Spinello, Emanuela Reale, and Giovanni Cerulli.

Finally, on September 20, Emanuela Reale and Antonio Zinilli led a panel discussion on “Doctorate holders in the wider labor market: new analytical perspectives from the FOSSR project”.
