Patrimonio Culturale, ingegno e tecnologia: dall’energia muscolare all’energia atomica verso l’energia pulita e rinnovabile (ENG)

Abstract

Motivating this project is the intention to utilize, publicize, and revitalize the heritage of the IRCrEs-Genoa’s library of ancient volumes, where evidence of the evolution of technology from the earliest treatises of the 14th century to the scientific treatises of the 17th and 18th centuries is preserved, digitized, and included in the Byterfly repository. Workshops and events addressed to schools and to general public on the themes of the history of technology and of energy will be experimented within the Freidano Ecomuseum in Settimo Torinese, where a multimedia setting on the topics of energy has been created and is enjoyable by the public.. This project has opened a sustainable scientific collaboration between IRCrES and the Ecomuseum increasing both the attractiveness of the Ecomuseum and the impact of scientific research in the area. The project is financed by the Compagnia di San Paolo.
