Impact evaluation of policies and projects |
||||
This research line collects theoretical reflections, applications and statistical and methodological developments on impact evaluation of public policies and projects, pursuing a twofold objective. On the one hand, it wants to increase knowledge on the implementation of a wide range of evaluation designs (experimental, statistical, theory-based, case-based and participatory), exploring the terms of reference for their applicability in the various contexts of public action (social, economic, cultural, etc.). On the other hand, it intends to contribute, in various intervention sectors, to the identification of the most effective policies or instruments, providing evidence to policymakers to optimize the use of economic resources, strengthening the sustainability of social sub-systems (such as vocational training or migrant integration) and contributing to the consolidation and transfer of social innovation models. To this end, the line merges the skills of a large and diverse research group, consisting of economists, sociologists, political scientists and statisticians, and integrates the various disciplines with a mixed-method approach, both qualitative and quantitative.
